London Ground Penetrating Radar
Ground penetrating radar is another non-invasive imaging technique used by JD Leak Detection in London that uses radar signals to create images of what is under the surface of the ground below the device. If the precise location of a leak is not possible, this device allows us to first find pipework and then with that locate the leak at hand.
Our ground penetrating radar sends pulses of microwave radar signals into the ground. A device picks up the signals being reflected to create an image of underground structures, including pipework. With our London ground penetrating radar, the subsurface materials with different dielectric properties reflect the signal, allowing the return signal to create an image or map of what’s under the ground which is then used to trace the leak.
